On June 5, 2025, Decent Cybersecurity took part in the Honorary Consuls Forum of the Slovak Republic at the Historic Building of the Slovak National Council in Bratislava. Organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with SARIO, the event brought together over 120 honorary consuls from nearly 80 countries. It was a rare opportunity to connect Slovak innovation with global markets.

Our company was represented by Senior IT Consultant Pavol Krcho, PhD, who attended the event and engaged in direct conversations with key diplomatic stakeholders. Among the most productive exchanges were meetings with Datuk Seri Panglima Wong Khen Thau, Honorary Consul in Malaysia, Dr. Roy C. J., Honorary Consul in Bangalore, India, and Mr. Lee Yongjin, Honorary Consul in Ulsan, South Korea. These personal discussions provided a starting point for potential partnerships focused on the advancement of cybersecurity in Asia.

Event programme and highlights
The Forum began with welcome remarks from senior representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, followed by keynote addresses on Slovakia’s innovation ecosystem and its global relevance. The program continued with targeted networking and matchmaking sessions. Slovak business leaders and honorary consuls shared success stories and discussed avenues for fostering bilateral cooperation. These sessions allowed Slovak companies to meet one-on-one with consuls from strategic regions, gaining direct insight into local market dynamics, partnership opportunities, and support mechanisms for expansion.
A unique diplomatic-business opportunity
The forum offered not just insight into foreign markets, but also a valuable look into how honorary consuls serve as economic facilitators. Their local knowledge, personal business networks, and diplomatic access make them powerful allies for Slovak technology exporters.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees were able to consult with representatives based in key strategic regions. For Decent Cybersecurity, this meant identifying new avenues for cooperation in sectors such as post-quantum resilience, digital sovereignty, and critical infrastructure protection. Our goal is not just to export cybersecurity technology, but to co-develop frameworks and solutions that are adapted to regional needs.

Events like the Honorary Consuls Forum are essential for turning diplomatic goodwill into actionable cooperation. By meeting with stakeholders in person, we’re able to build trust, exchange knowledge, and set the foundation for deeper collaboration.
Participating in this forum showcased Slovakia’s ability to compete in the top tier of cyber innovation. We thank the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and SARIO for organizing such an event.
