Senior Software Architect with Post-Quantum Cryptography Expertise

We are on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Software Architect with specialized expertise in Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). The role involves leading the development and implementation of cutting-edge cryptographic solutions to protect against emerging quantum computing threats. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of current cryptographic techniques, quantum-resistant algorithms, and a proven track record in software architecture and secure application development.

Key Responsibilities

  • PQC Strategy & Implementation: Develop and implement strategies for integrating post-quantum cryptographic algorithms into existing and new products.
  • Software Architecture Design: Lead the architectural design and development of secure, efficient, and scalable software solutions incorporating post-quantum cryptography.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team, promoting adherence to best practices in secure software design and coding standards.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay at the forefront of cryptographic research, especially related to quantum-resistant algorithms and techniques. Assess and incorporate advancements into the company’s products and services.
  • Problem-Solving: Address complex security and architectural challenges, providing strategic solutions to ensure the highest level of protection against both classical and quantum threats.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust architectural solutions. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software architecture and cryptographic implementations meet strict quality and security standards through rigorous testing and validation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cryptography, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred for candidates with extensive research in post-quantum cryptography.
  • Significant experience in software architecture, with a focus on security and cryptography.
  • Deep understanding of current cryptographic techniques and specifically post-quantum algorithms (e.g., lattice-based, multivariate, hash-based, code-based cryptography).
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in cryptographic and secure software development.
  • Experience with the implementation and validation of cryptographic algorithms in software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
