Decent Cybersecurity Joins Pioneering €32 Million AIDA Project to Boost Europe’s Cyber Defence

European Defence fund

We are excited to share that Decent Cybersecurity is part of a groundbreaking initiative known as the AIDA project, funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF) 2023. This project, aimed at significantly enhancing Europe’s cyber defence capabilities, focuses on harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create advanced cyber defence agents.

What is the AIDA Project?

AIDA, short for Artificial Intelligence Deployable Agent, is all about developing smart AI-based agents that can manage cyber incidents autonomously. This means that these agents can detect, respond to, and even predict cyber attacks without constant human intervention, making our digital world much safer.

Why is This Important?

With the rapid increase in digitalization, the number of potential cyber attack targets has also grown. Traditional methods of cyber defence are struggling to keep up with the sophistication of modern attacks, many of which now use AI. The AIDA project aims to counter these advanced threats with equally advanced AI technology, providing robust protection against cyber criminals.

Key Details

  • Duration: 42 months (over 3 years)
  • Activities Involved: Research, Design, Prototyping, and Testing of new systems
  • Total Project Cost: Approximately €32.45 million
  • EU Contribution: Up to €26 million
