On February 4, 2025, Decent Cybersecurity actively participated in the 2025 National Information Day on the European Defence Fund (EDF) at Hotel DAP, Prague, Czech Republic. Organized by the Defence and Security Industry Association Czech Republic (AOBP) — of which we are now a proud member — and the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, the event provided a crucial platform for discussions on EDF funding opportunities and closer industry collaboration. Decent Cybersecurity was represented by our Senior IT Consultant Pavol Krcho, PhD.
Strengthening Industry Partnerships

The EDF event in Prague kicked off with insightful speeches from Radka Konderlová, Director of Industrial Cooperation Section at the MoD CR, and Kristýna Helm, Vice President of AOBP. They highlighted the need for stronger cooperation in securing EDF resources to drive defense innovation.

One of the most valuable sessions was led by Daniel Petrilák, an EDF-certified evaluator, who provided an inside look into how project proposals are assessed. His practical insights offered clear guidance on crafting competitive applications for EDF grants, equipping attendees with essential knowledge for future funding rounds.
Key Takeaways and Developments
Throughout the day, several speakers shared their expertise in interesting panels, including:

- Jaromír Truksa (MoD CR) analyzing EDF’s progress between 2021–2024.

- Pavlína Zápařková (Technology Agency) outlining new co-financing options under the PRODEF program.

- Ondřej Vodička (MoD CR) discussing additional support mechanisms like NIF, DIANA, and NSPA.
These discussions underscored the growing importance of securing European defense funding and strengthening ties between public and private stakeholders.
Decent Cybersecurity’s Growing Presence
During networking sessions, our team engaged with industry leaders and decision-makers, including a conversation with Director Konderlová, where we introduced Decent Cybersecurity as a new member of AOBP. This affiliation is a key step in solidifying our role in European and national defense and cybersecurity initiatives.
A major highlight of the event was the opportunity to explore EDF 2025 consortium partnerships, paving the way for potential collaborations on cutting-edge cybersecurity and defense projects. As a company committed to cyber resilience, post-quantum security, and critical infrastructure protection, we are eager to bring our expertise to these strategic alliances.
