Decent Cybersecurity Explores African Markets at Export Club Forum

African cybersecurity export potential

On May 28, 2025, Decent Cybersecurity participated in the Export Club Forum. The event, organized by EXIMBANKA SR, was held in the historic building of the Slovak National Council on Župné námestie in Bratislava. It focused on opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa and attracted a dynamic mix of Slovak exporters, government officials, and international representatives. Our company was represented by Senior IT Consultant Pavol Krcho, PhD., who attended the event and followed the expert discussions on expanding cybersecurity solutions to Africa’s rapidly developing digital landscape.

Export Prospects and Regional Insights

The program opened with keynote speeches from top officials, including EXIMBANKA’s CEO Rastislav Podhorec and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Rastislav Chovanec. What followed was a series of presentations highlighting specific opportunities in Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria, delivered by diplomats from each country. These insights were valuable in understanding the regional challenges and demand for reliable cybersecurity infrastructure.

Later in the day, EXIMBANKA and the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (SAIDC) outlined their support mechanisms for Slovak businesses entering African markets. Their presentations were practical, focused, and offered a transparent view of available financial instruments. The event featured a panel discussion with representatives from EXIMBANKA SR, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Slovak Embassy in Nigeria, SARIO, and AgeVolt, exploring the growing importance of cybersecurity as part of sustainable infrastructure development.

African cybersecurity export potential

Throughout the event, one-on-one B2G matchmaking sessions provided space for direct dialogue with key public stakeholders. It was during these sessions that Decent Cybersecurity had the opportunity to discuss how our solutions in post-quantum security, drone protection, and critical infrastructure resilience align with Africa’s increasing demand for reliable digital safeguards. The event also included a valuable exchange with H.E. Vladimír Grácz, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to South Africa, reinforcing the diplomatic support behind Slovak tech in foreign markets.

Growing Importance of Africa

Africa is not just an emerging market but a region with high demographic and economic potential, eager for partnerships in digital security. Governments, banks, and telecom providers across sub-Saharan Africa continue to expand their digital services and with that, the African cybersecurity export potential for Slovak innovators is tangible and growing.

Events like these are crucial to identifying and accelerating international opportunities. For Decent Cybersecurity, participating in the Export Club Forum was not only a step forward for our commercial outreach, but a reaffirmation of our role in connecting Slovak technological excellence with global digital resilience.
