On September 25, 2025, Decent Cybersecurity took part in the event Cyber Brunch with the Cyber Community, held in the baroque manor house of Brunovce. The event was organized by the Cyber Security Competence and Certification Centre and gathered a wide range of professionals, experts, and institutions active in the field. We were represented by our Senior IT Consultant, Pavol Krcho, PhD., whose presence ensured that Decent Cybersecurity contributed to and benefited from the discussions shaping the future of digital resilience in Slovakia and beyond.
Event Highlights
The event was officially opened by Roman Konečný, Director of the National Security Authority. His address underlined the importance of strengthening national cybersecurity capacities and the critical role of collaboration among government, business, and academia.

This was followed by the keynote lecture delivered by Marek Zeman, General Director of the Cyber Security Competence and Certification Centre, who introduced new methodologies in risk management. His talk provided valuable insights into how organizations can better identify, assess, and mitigate threats in today’s complex digital environment.
The program continued with a presentation by Tomáš Hettych, member of the board of the Cyber Security Competence and Certification Centre. He focused on the practical side of cybersecurity preparedness, offering concrete advice on how to approach cybersecurity audits and self-assessment processes. This session was particularly useful for companies and institutions that must comply with new regulatory frameworks and standards, including those connected to the EU’s NIS2 directive.

Participants also had the opportunity to hold one-on-one consultations. Michal Ohrablo, an expert on financing projects through the Digital Europe Programme, shared guidance on accessing EU-level support for digital transformation initiatives. At the same time, Marek Vlášek, Director of the Department of Supervision and Control at the National Security Authority, offered his expertise on the regulation of PZS. These consultations allowed attendees to explore funding opportunities, compliance obligations, and regulatory requirements in greater detail, making the event highly practical as well as informative.
The Cyber Brunch attracted a large audience of cybersecurity professionals and stakeholders from both public and private sectors. The high turnout reflected the growing importance of forums where experts can exchange knowledge, align on strategic priorities, and strengthen networks. Events like these also emphasize the need for strong cooperation in building resilience across all areas of critical infrastructure.

Cyber Brunch & Decent Cybersecurity
For Decent Cybersecurity, the event was an opportunity to reinforce our role as a trusted partner in national and international cybersecurity initiatives. By engaging with leading experts, institutions, and regulatory authorities, we can ensure that our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation and fully aligned with evolving standards. Networking opportunities such as these also strengthen our long-term strategic partnerships and confirm the importance of our mission: to deliver quantum-resistant cybersecurity solutions that protect the infrastructures societies depend upon.
The event concluded on a more informal note with generous refreshments and a tour of the historic Brunovce manor house and its park. This provided a relaxed setting to continue discussions, exchange ideas, and forge new connections, ensuring that the Cyber Brunch achieved its goal of blending professional insight with meaningful networking.
